Mike S. for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 We lost the plastic detergent divider (W10121596), from our Whirlpool Duet front load washer (WFW9200SQ00). We use only Tide powder detergent and Downy liquid softener in the separate softener compartment. Is this divider necessary if we always have it slid to the far left (powder detergent) position? Answer Hi. The divider routes the detergent used to the proper channels to be dispersed into the tub. If it is not there then the detergent will clog other areas and not have the capability to be pushed into the correct channel there by cleaning the path over and over. This lingering detergent (powder backed into the liquid area) contributes to the unwanted smells. A very important small device. Divider part # WPW10121596. Thank You. Read More...
