Gw7571 for Model Number 11067042601 Our Kenmore dryer is not working properly. You can set it on normal dry (cotton) and the timer sets itself for 40 minutes.(we only use time-dry not sensor-dry) After it runs for 5-10 minutes the timer resets itself. Some times the time goes up (like to 60 or more minutes) sometimes it goes down (to like 10 or 15 minutes) Then the dryer seems to run forever-time stays the same on the display or creeps up or down intermittingly. We just have to keep opening the door to check the clothes- Sometimes takes an hour or two to get them dry. I have removed/cleaned the vent duct, even took the back off of the unit and vacuumed it all out. The heating element is good-the dryer is producing heat. Could this maybe be a thermostat going bad?
Answer GW7571, The issue of the unit jumping times would not be caused by a faulty thermostat but would be an issue with the control board part number WPW10111617. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 15, 2014
