Bill for Model Number MED5100DW0 My dryer doesn't seem to dry the clothes all the way. Many times I have to restart it a few times to fully dry the clothes. I also noticed that if the load is larger the clothes seem to dry. But if I have a small load then it seems like I have to restart the dryer a few times to fully dry the clothes. The duct work was just recently cleaned. Also I have been watching your repair videos and was wondering if the dryer sensor could be bad? Or maybe something else?
Answer Bill, Check and make sure the dryer is level front to back and side to side. You can use a clean rag, apply a liberal amount of rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol to the rag and wipe off the metal sensor bar strips, this would remove any fabric softener or softener sheet residue from the sensor. If the problem persists, the load may be too small to properly tumble and strike or land on the sensor bar to properly activate the moisture sensor circuit. Read More...
