Jp for Model Number GEW9200LW1 The drier recently stopped midcycle, giving a "sensing" message. I replaced both of the sensors (or electrodes) with WP3387223 components obtained from you. However, the drier continues to give the "sensing" message and continues not to function. Your youtube video shows the black connecting wire being on top and the yellow wire being on the bottom. In my drier (never previously serviced), the wires were reversed: yellow on top and black on bottom. In my first attempt, I maintained the original wire configuration. When the new sensors failed to correct issue, I reversed the colors, but this action also failed to solve problem, Please advise. Thanks in advance
Answer Hello JP, this is not a "sensing" problem, the control board will display that message at the start of a cycle, the control board does not know the drum is not turning. You will need a multimeter and would need to access the main control board on the top left side wall under the top, at terminal P1-4 (light blue) there should be 120v at that terminal referenced to P1-2 neutral (white), if no voltage then the main control board needs to be replaced. If there is 120v then check the thermal fuse (with light blue wires) on the blower housing next, if open it would need to be replaced also check if the heater element is grounded. Read More...
