Ruthann for Model Number 3868VVD My 1997 Magic Chef oven will only heat to 190 degrees and I suspect the bottom heating element may be at fault. When quickly touched it doesn't seem anywhere near 350 degrees, which the oven is set to heat for.
Answer Hello RuthAnn, You will need to test the element to see if it is open or if it reads the correct resistance. You will also need to check for proper power, (240Vac), to the unit. If all tests good, the relay on the board 12001603 is the likely issue. I'm sorry but this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided.
