J. Preston Conner I have a Whirlpool refrig. Model GD5SHAXKQ00. The ice maker will not work. I have replaced the water valve and the ice maker unit. Still no water flowing. I noticed there is a light on the right side that seems to shoot a beam across refrig but it is not lite up. Can you help.
Answer J. Preston, If the light that is on the right wall is flashing then push the flapper on the left wall and see if it continues to flash. If the light continues to flash then the emitter board is faulty and would need to be replaced. If this checks ok then the icemaker would most likely be the issue. Read More...
