Jaytea for Model Number Kenmore Elite 106.56696501 About 4 years ago I replaced the motor for the ice maker and that worked. It just stopped working again and I can tell that the motor needs to be replaced again because one of the bottom two contacts that the pins from the ice maker touch is burnt out. However, this time the circular plastic just around the pin is slightly warped. Does that mean I need to instead replace the entire ice maker assembly. Or should it still be fine with just the motor replacement. I have photos of both that will show exactly what I mean that I can send if I have an email address. Unless I can upload an image here or provide a link. Not sure how to upload an image here...
Answer JayTea, For this issue you will want to replace the entire icemaker with the contact being burnt and the gear being warped. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 26, 2018
