Rod for Model Number JGD3430BS00 i turn knob. igniter lights the burner but igniter does not stop sparking. there is plenty of flame.. so i dont understand why igniter is still sparking. would i need to replace igniters? its doing it on 3 of the 4 burneres
Answer Hello Rod, this gas cooktop uses a reignition type of spark module. Check If the burner flame once lit is reaching/touching the ignitor. If so the cooktop needs a cleaning under the burners. The reignition type of spark module flame detection function is sensitive to spillovers/debris/grease getting under the burner bases on the cooktop, it usually starts on the most used burners.
