Steve for Model Number JGD8430ADS The igniter on the right front burner must have corroded and get pushed back down inside the fire box. I tried to remove the manifold. One screw snapped. The other I had to drill out. Now I need to order a new manifold for that burner. But here is the thing, now that i got the manifold off it looks like I need to take apart the whole cooktop in order to get inside the firebox. It appears it is all assembled with 1/4" sheet metal bolts. 2 in the font and back and 2 on each side, So here is my question? 1) I need to remove all the manifolds first correct? 2) Then if I raise and brace the fire box from below I an remove those 8 1/4" sheet metal bolts. Do I have to remove the 4 inside the down draft box too?
Answer Steve, This is correct. You would remove the burner heads on the unit and then you would remove the 1/4" screws around the perimeter but should not have to remove them from the downdraft assembly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 18, 2013
