Janis for Model Number jdb1100aws I cannot get the old door latch off (w10275768). I read the previous question from carrie and the answer and tried but do not want to "force it". where does the pliers go----on the plastic wire assembly or on the old door latch----i think it goes on the plastic wire assembly box---is so----does the pliers go perpendicular to the wire box or parallel with the wire box----and how hard is press----what part of the box are you trying to press? Help!!!!!
Answer Janis, Once you have the door switch assembly WPW10275768 out of the door, and have the assembly in your hand, you'll see that each wire has a white colored plastic "box" at the end of the wire, attaching the wire to the switch. With the needle nose pliers parallel with the wire(s) place the needle nose pliers over the white plastic box, lightly squeeze the pliers together and pull towards you at the same time.
