Robin for Model Number MMV5208WS The cooktop lightbulb on my brand new microwave is shattered so there's no bulb to grab onto. I cannot tell if it screws off, pulls off or exactly how it comes out and again, there's nothing to even grab onto because the glass is completely shattered and gone. How can I remove it?
Answer Hi Robin, The correct bulb for your model is 8206232A. First disconnect the unit from power or flip the breaker off to avoid electrical shock. The bulb will twist out counterclockwise. Sometimes you can take a raw potato or stuff the end of a rag or washcloth in the socket and twist it out. If not, you will need to get some needle nose pliers and basically crimp in the edges of old bulb base and twist it until it comes out. Be careful not to damage the socket in doing so. Hope this helps! Thanks! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, September 12, 2013
