Jody for Model Number mx1140xmq-1 The power had gone out in our home, and when it came back on, I hit the button to turn the light on, it flashed as though the bulb had expired. When my husband removed it, the bulb itself broke, and the base was stuck in the socket, and after finally getting that out, it looked like there was a dab of hot glue (from the manufacturer from shipping??) holding the socket in. We purchased a bulb from Lowe's, but when we got home, it will not even light still. All other functions of the microwave work perfectly - might this be a bulb issue, or something worse such as the board?? Thanks!
Answer Hello Jody. Check and make sure none of the wires going to the socket have came loose. You can test the wires to the socket and see if your getting power to them. If there is power there, you could have a bulb not rated for this microwave. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 17, 2011
