Mark R for Model Number WMH32519HZ3 I had a lightbulb burn out on the one that lights up the cooktop below. When my tenant went to unscrew from socket the glass separated from the threads and sparked. I was able to retrieve the male part of the bulb. Put in a new bulb and the light didn't work. I went ahead and ordered a new socket thinking the sparking may have compromised it. After replacing the socket, I tested, and the light still didn't come on. I checked the wires for voltage that attach to the socket and was getting 120v. I turned the light on and off at the touchpad, but the voltage remained on at the socket even in the off position. The display was showing the light on in the hi and low position but wouldn't light up the bulb. Do you think the main circuit board was compromised from the arcing that happened? All the other functions of the microwave work except for the surface light.
Answer Mark, Yes, this would be an issue that when there was a spark it caused a problem with the main control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, October 31, 2022
