Alan for Model Number wmh2175xvb-2 My light bulb for lighting under the microwave has burned out. I have tried two different light bulbs that claim to be for appliances, but they are only 25 watts and 15 watts, respectively. Although they each fit the base neither works. I checked the filament on the original bulb and it's definitely broken. Does the replacement bulb have to be the exact bulb as OEM to work? Or do I have two issues going on? Just double checking before I order an exact replacement bulb from you guys.
Answer Hello Alan, With the light bulbs 8206232A you may have to try to tighten further. When you install a new light bulb it will reach a certain point where it appears to not want to move further. Try to tighten a little more and it should screw in further. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 9, 2012
