David, The "burner on" indicator light is controlled through the infinite (burner) switches. You'll need to chech each switch for a "closed" circuit from L1 to P terminals on all the switches, with the switch in the "off" position, and one wire disconnected from the switch. Whichever switch has the "closed" circuit, is the switch causing the light to stay on. At the burner, terminals 1A to 2A is the element circuit, and should be "closed} at all times. 1B to 2B is the "hot surface" light, and is "closed" when the burner or cooktop is hot.There should not be a circuit between 1B and 1A unless the test was conducted wrong, or an issue in the burner /sensor
