Micky, To remove the pulley from the basket, place the handle of a crescent wrench through the pulley and into the steel bearing hub to keep the pulley from turning. Use a 21-millimeter socket wrench to remove the nut securing the pulley to the basket. The pulley nut and shaft is a "standard" thread, right/clockwise, to tighten and left/counterclockwise to loosen. They are torqued very tightly at the factory, you don't really want to try to hold the pulley with your hand, when you start removing or tightening the nut.
