Mike for Model Number WRS588FIHZ00 I shut off breaker to fridge due to working on something unrelated. When I turned breaker back on now water dispenser is not dispensing. The fridge is running and when pressing the paddle for water it is running but no water. I did this before and only had to unplug and replug fridge now it is not the case.
Answer Hello Mike. First of all make sure there is water supply to the fridge. Then, when you press the water paddle in the dispenser can you hear the switch inside the dispenser clicking? If the answer is no, disassemble the dispenser and check if the mounting bracket pin that holds the switch is not broken or the switch itself is good. If you can hear the click see if the water valve solenoids ( one on the primary single valve and the one on the dual secondary valve) are energizing and water actually goes through. This you can check from the front. If you remove the toe grille you'll see the water line with a coupling on it. Take it off on one side by pressing in the locking collar and pulling the tube out. Prepare to catch some water. If none of the valves energize and water doesn't come out of the tube look to the left and trace the harness that goes into the door hinge. With the fridge unplugged cut the insulation and check all the wires individually for damage. If you'll find any torn or damaged wires install the butt connectors and tape then GOOD using the electrical tape. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 24, 2020
