Anne for Model Number wgd5900sw0 Hello, I am having trouble with my clothes getting caught on what I am assuming is the sensor on the back right wall of the dryer. It's a black plastic part about 4" long. The clothes come out a twisted/knotted mess!! Do I need to replace the sensor or is there an easy way to secure it. It seems to be fairly loose. Thanks in advance for your response.
Answer Anne, The dryness sensor bar is a clip and screw fit. As long as the two stainless steel strips are present on the sensor block. you should be able to tighten the screw and secure the sensor block to the bulkhead. You may need to remove the sensor assembly, and check the mounting hole and bulkhead wall to see if theres damage there, if the wall or screw hole is "stretched" the sensor won't seat and secure properly.
