Andrew for Model Number EXPW10467289 Washer Temperature Sensor

Hello, I was disconnecting the connector to the temp sensor and with no effort at all, the wires disconnected from the connector that you use to plug in the temp sensor. Is there any way to put the wires back into the white connector? Or will I have to replace the whole wiring for the temp connector? Does this make any sense? The wires that connect to the connector were pulled out. Can I splice a new connector to the wires? Someone help me please !

Answer

Andrew, it is possible to put the wires back in place if the retaining clips have not broken off of the wire terminals. If the retaining clips that hold the wires into the connector are intact, they can be opened to cause them to grip onto the connector end and secure them back in place. If there has been any damage or missing retainer clips, then the recommended procedure would be to replace the wiring.
