Darren for Model Number WDT790SLYM2 My Whirlpool Gold series dishwasher will fill with water, but the washer motor won't start. It did work for one cycle after trying a few times, but after draining and refilling, it got stuck again and would not engage the wash cycle. Sometimes I can hear some clicking, but the motor does not start. A service tech said it may be the turbidity sensor and diverter. Does this sound right? Doesn't seem like these parts would cause this, but Just wanted some expert help. Thanks. PS - it does clean well if you can get the motor on.
Answer Darren, You will want to check the motor to see if there is 120 vac getting to it. If there is 120 vac then check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the wash motor and if there is not then this will be a faulty motor. If there is not 120 vac then this will be an issue with the main control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 7, 2018
