David Thal for Model Number GU940SCGQ1 My dishwasher has stopped working. I am able to select the wash cycle on the control panel and all the lights work. The dishwasher does not fill with water. I removed the water inlet valve and check it for continuity and electrically it was fine. I am trying to determine what else fails on these types of valves? Also would a bad float switch cause the water inlet valve not to open and fill the machine with water?
Answer David, You will want to check the fill valve for 120 vac getting to it when it is calling for water to be put in the unit. If there is 120 vac then the valve is faulty and would need replaced. If there is no power then check the float switch for being good and if good then would be a control board issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, June 13, 2017
