Matt for Model Number du850swps3 whirlpool I need some installation or put back toget help. So today my dishwasher was working fine, then for some reason I pulled the float, at which I pulled it completly out. Now it wont fill with water. I took the kick plate apart and found the following part down there, found a little piece from the float gues, like the lock for it and p/n 8318219. I put the lock back on, but it still does not work. I belive there is a switch down there that I saw, not sure if it is part of it. Over all I need some help putting the float with the housing, lock and switch all back together. The dishwasher does not get water, however it still pumps the clean rinse in. Please help me on the installation I dont want to pay someone for an easy fix.
Answer Hello Matt, To install the float you just push it down into the hole and push the lock back on it. The float should sit at where the switch is located and lower onto and raise off the switch. When switch is down unit will fill. When up it will turn water off. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 28, 2012
