Howard for Model Number RF378LXKS1 Greetings, I think that the infinite switch controlling one of the surface elements on my range is defective, but would like to test the switch to verify this before buying a replacement. Answer Howard, Using a multimeter, take the back panel off the range and access the switches. Turn the switch that you think is defective on and test from the H1 to the H2 (should be the same color wires) and see if there is 240 Vac at that point. If there is then the switch is good and either the wiring or the element is faulty. If there is not then the switch is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
