Frankie for Model Number Mer6772baw Model MER6772BAW. The upper oven light will not turn off. I tried shutting down power by turning it off at the breaker, waited 60 seconds, then restored power. The light remained on. Tested by opening the door and holding in the door rod, but the light stayed on. So I don't think the door needs to be adjusted.
Answer Hello Frankie, This can be a harness issue, a bad door switch, or a bad interior light switch on the control panel. The oven lights automatically come on when the doors are opened. When the doors are closed, press the LIGHT pad (upper or lower oven) on the control panel to turn the lights on or off. This switch 74008717 could be bad. Read More...
