Wantadry for Model Number FRS23KF5DW4 Dryer will work fine for several days then it will blow the thermal fuse. All duct is clean, air flow is good. The thermistor reading is correctly and I have monitored the duct temperature and all is within specifications. Why does it work some days and then fail. What part should I change? AP4514565 or 8577274 or look at something different? Thanks
Answer Hello Wantadry, The only thing that will cause the thermal fuse to open is excessive temperature. If the ducting is a full four inch diameter, there are no clogs or crimps, and it is not excessively long, (equivalent to 25 feet or less), the only thing it can be is a seal/seals allowing the heated air to re-enter the unit cabinet instead of exiting the appliance. I would have included some part numbers as examples but have no idea what unit you have in your home. The model number you listed was for a refrigerator. You will need to get the dryer model number from the units' I.D. tag most likely located inside the door on the front panel. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 22, 2014
