Barb for Model Number DLE330RAW My dryer is running too hot even at the delicate less dry setting. Is this a thermostat issue? If so, which thermostat do I need to replace?
Answer Hello Barb. You will need to check the dryer vent and make sure it is clear and not restricted. If so, you will need to remove the vent from the back of the dryer and see if the temperature is cycling. On regular, it should read 110° to 155° +-10%. Then turn the unit to delicate see if it reads less. If not, test the selector switch. On delicate, it should be closed on L1-1 and L1-2 for continuity. If it is good, you will need to test the thermostat WP61623. It should read 2400 Ohms +- 240 Ohms. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
