Bob for Model Number CE2950XYW3

Does that loose wire marked “ timer connect to something? I’m getting continuity between circuits A tabs( powers the motor) and B circuits ( powers the heating element. Yellow seems to be 120v hot in and from a burned terminal ( due to coins pile up in the timer compartment) red looks to the other hot wire. So the dryer works all the time. I thought I got no continuity right out of the box, but then after activating the timer, it’s always on. Could the plastic wheel be mis aligned such that the timer won’t shut off? Thank you Model CE2950XYW3

Answer

Hello Bob, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. There should be a connection for TM1 coming from the harness of the unit. This may be part of your unending cycle problem. The other thing I would look for is to make sure the cam that came on the new timer has the same # of pins or holes along the outer edge as the cam on the old timer. If not then you will need to change the cam on the new timer to the equivalent cam that should have come with this kit.
