Does that loose wire marked “ timer connect to something? I’m getting continuity between circuits A tabs( powers the motor) and B circuits ( powers the heating element. Yellow seems to be 120v hot in and from a burned terminal ( due to coins pile up in the timer compartment) red looks to the other hot wire. So the dryer works all the time. I thought I got no continuity right out of the box, but then after activating the timer, it’s always on. Could the plastic wheel be mis aligned such that the timer won’t shut off? Thank you Model CE2950XYW3

Hello Bob, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. There should be a connection for TM1 coming from the harness of the unit. This may be part of your unending cycle problem. The other thing I would look for is to make sure the cam that came on the new timer has the same # of pins or holes along the outer edge as the cam on the old timer. If not then you will need to change the cam on the new timer to the equivalent cam that should have come with this kit.

Larry, based on the model number you supplied, you have installed the wrong timer. The correct timer for a CME2760KQ1 is 279737 / 279737 Timer Kit (Includes 4-Pin Cam). Install the proper timer and make sure you've wired it correctly. If the problem persists repost your question. Thanks,

Lightning possibly hit my breaker box burning out my ground on the left side of the box. Now my dryer is blowing thermal fuses and the timer does not stop at the end of the accu cycle and continues to run until the next stop setting. It never did this before the lightning strike. Could it have damaged my timer or circuit board and what could cause it to continue to blow thermal fuses mounted on the heating element? The exhaust vent is clean and blower fan blows strong.

Hello Chris. If you manually advance to off, and it does not stop, you will need to replace the timer on the unit. It should stop when advanced to off.

Mansour, You will want to check the timer cam to make sure that there is no damage to it and if this checks ok then the timer would most likely be the cause for this issue.
