Ejs for Model Number LER3624JQ1 The timer on my dryer at first stopped just before it gets to the cool down cycle, then it stopped turning. The drum kept turning and it heated Ok. So I got the timer from you and changed it, it was easy enough to do. But that didn't solve the problem. What else can I check or try? Help, EJS
Answer EJS, Try this, select a timed dry selection and allow the dryer to run and shut off, If all checks and operates proper, the timer is not the issue. Since the motor runs and the heater produces heat, those are probably not the issue either. So we're looking for an air flow issue, clogged vent, clogged lint filter or blower, or a weak hi limit thermostat 279816 or regulating thermostat WP694674. In an "auto" cycle, if the heat isn't correct, the timer won't advance, so a themostat or clogged vent could be creating the issue. Read More...
