Nightsky for Model Number WED5300VW0 Everything on the dryer works ...IF you apply pressure to the timer switch knob in a downward or sideways direction, or pull outward on the knob stem. Sometimes if you let go, it can run for a few seconds to minutes, but then stops; go and apply just a slight pressure to the knob/stem and it turns back on. It'll run a complete cycle ...if I stand there keeping pressure on the knob. Bad timer/switch/connection? Thanks
Answer Nightsky, The correct timer part number for the model number you supplied is WP8566184 / WP8566184. Based on your post description, the timer knob shaft, has dislodged from the timer cam, and in order to " make" the proper contacts, and complete the circuits in the timer you have to press or pull the shaft in order for the cam wheel to close the timer contacts. You will need to replace the timer for the machine to operate. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 1, 2016
