Brian for Model Number LER6620PQ0 My dryer runs, heats up and the timer advances but the dryer will not shut off. On any setting. I replaced the timer but the problem remains. The only way to stop the dryer is to open the door. I'm at a loss. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Answer Brian, With you saying the timer advances the most common problem is the timer but since you have replaced it you should replace the high-limit thermostat. When this part opens the timer advances so it could be faulty after multiple openings. If you manually turn the timer to the off position and it doesn't stop then chances are you have a faulty timer. 279816.
