Hello Bob. You will need to check the lid switch 3949247V and see if it is broken or bad. If so, it can cause the problems your having. Make sure it is reading closed with the lid closed and open with the lid open for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
