Kimmy for Model Number LSR8433KQ This washer is about 11 years old and the timer has made this rattling noise for about 8 years now. My machine will not go into the rinse and drain cycle and my service tech says it's probably the lid switch (per phone call). While that is a feasible repair my concern is that the timer will go out shortly after. My service tech says that since the timer has been doing the rattling noise for that long it is probably fine. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a new machine or not?
Answer Hello Kimmy. If you can advance the timer and the unit will spin and rinse properly, then the timer WP3948852 will need to be replaced. If the unit is dead in the spin cycle, wont drain or spin, then the lid switch may be the only thing needing replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
