Tim for Model Number LAT8826AAE I need help finding what may be wrong with my washer. The washer will start and begin to fill up with water, but will not drain/spin at the end of wash cycle or advance into the rinse cycle. The motor will try to spin, but it stops and l can smell the motor burning. The water remains inside the tub and the timer will run to the end cycle. I already tried replacing the brake drum, bearings, tub seal and motor but none of those fixes worked. Would you have an idea of what the issue may be?
Answer Tim, You didn't mention the belts, and did you check the motor carriage and rollers for free movement ? Presumably, you installed the tub bearing and seal kit properly, and didn't over tighten anything. If the washer fills and agitates, but doesn't spin and drain, then check or replace the timer.
