Glenn for Model Number LAT8816AAE Hi, I need to replace my washer timer (Maytag lat8816aae). According to info here the correct timer is based upon serial/series number. My serial starts with 11, so best I can tell I need timer 22001694, which is discontinued. The faulty timer in my machine is labeled 62093390, which appears to cross reference to 22001694, so that all seems to match up. I found a refurbished timer listed as 62093390 elsewhere (the sticker label in the pic of the actual timer also showed 62093390). So I ordered it. However the timer I was sent is clearly not the same one from the pic. This might not be a problem, except the sticker is labeled 62096710, rather than 62093390. It looks almost identical except its timer motor wires connect to a different spot. From everything I can find, 62096710 cross references to 22004262 or 22002189. Is that correct? According to this site that timer is for serial numbers starting with 15. Am I correct that this timer will not work for my washer with an 11xxxxx serial number? I don't want to risk damage to my machine or waste my time by installing if it's futile to even bother trying. I'll just send it back. Thanks for any help!
Answer Glenn, You are correct that would not be the correct timer for your model. You do in fact need the WP22001694 which is NLA. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, February 19, 2022
