Dustin for Model Number ldg5004aaw I recently replaced the coils, the heat sensor, thermostats and themal fuse on my dryer. The ignitor turns on, ignites the flame and after a short time, the burner clicks, turns off and after a few moments the ignitor turns back on and reignites the burner. However, the dryer is not getting warm. Keep in mind, I am testing the dryer without clothes in it. Any suggestions for what could be keeping the dryer from producing consistent heat?
Answer Hello Dustin. The flame should cycle on and off. It should go up and down in temp. You need to test the temp at the vent on the dryer. It should cycle from 100 to 150° on high heat cycle. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
