Max T. for Model Number lde7314ace I Have a Maytag dryer and checked all the fuses and/or sensors, everything checks Good. When I put the dryer on, everything stays hot. The vent hose, the electric heater element is working proper, Then the electric cord gets warm, and then finally, it trips the 30 amp circuit , which gets warm, then hot and trips.!!! DO YOU THINK the timer is sticking in one place or worn out ?? I don't know what to do ?? Remember : the vent is new and cleaned, and the blower is all cleaned. The drum moves easily also there are no noises, and it is on level ground .
Answer Max, There could be a stuck contact in the timer, but that's a bit rare. It's more likely that you have a shorted heater element WPY308612 or a stuck heater circuit switch in the motor W10410999. If either of these components have failed, this will keep the element partially energized all the time. Causing the venting to get warm, and the breaker to trip. Read More...
