Matt G. for Model Number lat9806aae Hello, my washer agitates and spins at the same time. It should only be agitating but also spins which causes lots of water to spin over the top. It does not agitate when it is supposed to be spinning though. Is this a transmission problem or a brake problem? Thanks, Matt
Answer Hello Matt, When the washer agitates while spinning, there is a brake WP6-2011900 problem. You should also check for any oil under the unit. If the lip seal 207843 at the base of the transmission is leaking, oil will get on the brake, causing it to slip. This produces the complaint you have. Read More...
