Joseph P Zebulon , NC December 21, 2018 Appliance: Bosch Dryer WTMC3321US/03 One of the paddles (baffle) inside the dryer drum broke off So it broke off and left broken plastic bosses with screw points sticking out of the drum. The screw points would have damaged anything being dried. I took standard 5/16 fuel hose and tie strapped 1/2" pieces of the hose over the broken bosses. The hose pieces covered the screw points and allowed the dryer to be used. I found and ordered the part on Appliancepartspro.com. The part arrived on time and in good condition. Installation was easy. Unplug the dryer. open the door. remove the 4 screw covers for the control panel screws. remove the 4 control panel screws ( Torx bit T-20). Remove the control panel and gently place it on a towel on the dryer top (leave the wiring harness connected). You can access the baffle screw heads through the control panel opening. Use needle nose vice grips to hold the broken boss inside the drum while you unscrew the 3 baffle screws from the outside of the drum ( again, Torx head screws T-20) I used a 1/4 " ratchet with a 1/4 socket to hold the T-20 bit. I used electrical tape to secure the T-20 bit to the socket. You have to be very careful not to drop anything inside the dryer cabinet. Once you get the old broken pieces out, installing the new baffle is straight forward. lining up the screws to the holes in the bosses is a bit tricky, but not that hard. Get all three screws started before tightening. do not "Gorilla" tighten the screws, just snug plus a bit. Re-install the control panel and screw covers. Plug the dryer in and you're done. Don't forget ---DO NOT DROP ANYTHING INSIDE THE DRYER CABINET! Read More... 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Socket Set
