Description

The door boot gasket is the flexible rubber seal between the washer's front tub and the door opening. It keeps wash water contained during cycles and helps prevent drips and leaks at the front of the machine. What it does

• Forms a watertight seal between the outer tub and the door opening
• Helps prevent leaks and water on the floor during and after cycles
• Restores proper sealing when the original gasket is torn, deformed, or moldy
• Common symptoms: water leaking from the door, visible rips, musty odors, or a door that won't seal properly

Install notes

• Unplug the washer and turn off both water supplies before servicing
• Remove the outer retaining band/clamp and release the old gasket from the front panel
• Access and remove the inner clamp; note gasket orientation, then remove the old gasket from the tub lip
• Fit the new gasket fully onto the tub, reinstall inner and outer clamps, and test for leaks before reassembly
