We had considered purchasing a new dishwasher, but I decided to try repairing the dishwasher myself first. I purchased a new dispenser assembly from AppliancePartsPros.com, having purchased other appliance parts from them in the past, and replaced the malfunctioning assembly. Making sure that the new unit was fully seated, so that the gasket would fully prevent any leakage, was a little difficult, but otherwise, the installation was pretty straightforward and easy.
