Hank L Newnan , GA November 24, 2018 The bottom element in our oven was broken There were 3 Phillips head screws on each side of the heating element at the back of the oven. I had to take those out and disconnect the connection between the element and the oven wiring. It's important to keep the oven wiring from slipping into the oven back insulation when you take the connection apart. Our old ones are a bit corroded but not unusable. There was just a hint of "new" smell the first time we heated with the new element but now it's fine. It helped having a powered driver (for the screws). Also, a bright flashlight helped see inside the oven.
