Anand J Brooklyn , NY April 02, 2021 Ruined the fastening ring trying to get it back on Pretty difficult to re-install the fastening ring back on the rubber gasket. Youtube videos show you what needs to happen, but it requires a decent amount of strength and touch to get it back on. Ordered the door switch/lock (which was suggested as the issue item) and opted to also order a new fastening ring in case the old one broke during removal or replacement. Selected next-day shipping option at the time of order. Followed instructions in YouTube video. The repair was easy but fiddly. Took longer to reinstall the fastening ring than it took to do the rest of the repair. Opted to install a new fastening ring although the old one looked like it would have worked fine.
