Todd W Saint Paul , MN January 02, 2016 Appliance: Thermador RDFS30 PRIOR TO S/N 9708 Worn fabric oven door gasket RDFS30 requires door disassembly. See oven instructions for door removal. Removed door and set handle side down on towel lined tabletop, handle down and over edge. Removed 2 top inner screws and bottom glass bracket screws. Removed bottom side panel securing screws. Removed and flipped inner door panel off of glass. No need to remove oven handle off of glass, leave glass on table overhanging edge. Cleaned front inner glass surface. Removed inner door panel assembly (with spring hinges) from outer door assembly and set aside. No need to remove springs. Removed all screws from 2 sheet metal inner panels. Cleaned and set panels aside. Removed top and bottom door insulation and removed inner door glass and retaining clips to clean inside both panes. Replaced glass, clips and insulation. Removed and replaced oven gasket, seating selvage edge between inner and outer door panels. Tucked ends of gasket into inner door panel holes. Reattached inner sheet metal panel loosely with 4 large screws to seat gasket. Flipped door over and adjusted gasket fit and placement. Gasket is secured via a sandwich fit between door panels, important to get situated straight. Flipped door over again and tightened screws. Reinstalled second sheet metal panel and tightened all screws. Reinstalled inner door panel on outer glass door panel and aligned holes. Reinstalled bottom screws for side panels and glass brackets (6). Reinstalled 2 top inner screws. Reinstalled door. My project took longer because it took time to take apart and gain access to clean all inner oven door glass panels.
