Description

This defrost heater melts frost and ice from the evaporator to help restore normal airflow and cooling performance. It replaces a failed heater to reduce excessive frost buildup and repeated frost cycles. What it does:

• Heats the evaporator during the defrost cycle so accumulated frost and ice melt away
• Helps prevent airflow restriction and reduced cooling caused by frozen evaporator coils
• Commonly replaced when you see excessive frost, frequent defrost cycles, or poor cooling in the refrigerator/freezer
• Works with the freezer's defrost control system (timer/thermostat/board) to run only during defrost
