Removed 3 screws and 3 wires from heater element and removed element. Reversed procedure with new element and seal. You will need the seal! Old one crumbled apart. All took less than 10 minutes. It was a ten minute job even for this old cripple man, that was quick. So simple 2 replace, less expensive by thousand to do it yourself. AppliancepartsPros site even has all the diagrams to show you how to disassemble and replace the parts. Removed the failed part and installed the new part in minutes.
