Bosch 00422173 Lamp OEM Part

Turns out bulb was not screwed in.

I looked everywhere including on-line but nobody carried one to fit this 15 year old Siemans dryer. I tried 10W dryer bulbs that physical fit but would not work. I had resigned myself to never having light again. Then, I googled for parts and happened upon AppliancePartsPros.com and luckily they had the bulb and it was even reasonably priced. Obviously, the removal & replacement took only a few minutes with an allen wrench. It was finding a bulb that took weeks.

Ordered both the pot metal hinge and the plastic door bracket just in case for our 2008 Bosch electric dryer. The upper arm of the metal hinge broke. Quick and easy fix, torx screws. One thing I missed, there were plastic slip on bearing on all four of the hinge pins. I reused the old ones. Adjusted the door, working great, hope to get another decade of use. I also replaced the light with an official grossly overpriced Bosch candelabra bulb. The original one had long since died and I replaced it with a C7 candelabra Christmas bulb. Hard to tell the difference between the 7W C7 bulb and the 10W official Bosch appliance rated bulb.
