Description

The Magnetron is an OEM part for Bosch microwaves. The magnetron generates microwaves used for cooking and heating food. It contains a magnet and vacuum tube that work together with a high-frequency electrical field to produce electromagnetic waves.

Symptoms of a bad magnetron include:

  • Microwave not heating or heating unevenly/inconsistently
  • Smell of burning within the microwave
  • Tripping of electrical breakers when microwave is operated
