Description

This door seal forms a tight barrier between the dishwasher door and tub to contain wash water and steam. Replacing a worn gasket restores a proper seal to help prevent leaks and maintain efficient wash performance. What it does:

• Creates a watertight seal between the tub opening and door during wash and rinse cycles
• Helps keep water, suds, and steam from escaping at the sides and top of the door
• Common symptoms: water on the floor at the front corners, drips down the door, visible cracks/flattening of the gasket, door not closing snugly
• Can reduce moisture and noise escaping while the dishwasher runs

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing
• Open the door, pull the old seal straight out of the channel; clean the groove of debris and mineral buildup
• Warm the new seal in hot water to relax it; press it evenly into the channel without stretching, centering at the top
• Close the door to seat the gasket and check for even compression around the perimeter
