SCG304R THERMADOR 30" GAS COOK TOP Thermador gas cook top igniters on without demand had to disconnect from ac 1 of 4 igniter switches defective (shorted) Ordered spark switch. (igniter) Carefully installed new switch from top side of burner control opening. Unscrew 2 small phillips head screws, remove old spark switch and top part of gas control valve. After removing, notice small spring left on bottom half of valve. Do not lose! Reverse order to install spark switch. Switch has plug in configuration. May need to maintain polarity when connecting wire to switch. May need magnetic or functional mechanical tool to retrieve dropped screws or spring. If in doubt about configuration after disassembly, look at untouched control valves. Repair requires some patience. This repair was on a Thermador stainless steel gas cook top. Other makes may be similar enough for this info to be valid. Read More... 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
